How to Use MacleanNet
When you change your email address, do three things:
Through the old supplier, unsubscribe from all your forums and new@maclean.org.
Through the new supplier, subscribe to the desired forums.
Email a note of both addresses to rhona@maclean.org so that the directory can be updated.

Simple Anti-Virus Precautions
Never open an unexpected attachment to an email.
Never send an unexpected attachment with an email.
Install anti-virus software and update its virus definitions regularly.
Always send plain text email. Do not select th.html option.

There are no Moderators. We each take responsibility for these services - for what we post to them AND for what we choose to read in them.
Post only to the appropriate forum.
To email one or two members, use individual addresses.
Ensure that the Subject line of your message is apt - particularly before clicking on the Reply button.
Sign your messages and add your location. You could do this by creating a signature file with location in brackets.
Before absences, always unsubscribe from your forums. Resubscribe on your return.
To reduce virus risk, and as a simple matter of courtesy, never attach files unexpected by the recipient(s).
