GB2IMG at Duart Castle

On the 23rd of June 2007 the Clan MacLean Amateur Radio Society operated a special event station, callsign GB2IMG (International MaCLean Gathering), from Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull, Scotland to celebrate the 2007 International Gathering of the Clan MacLean.

During the week leading up to the main gathering at Duart a station was operated from the Aros Hall in Tobermory in the north of the island (and the principal town). The callsign used was GB2CMA (Clan MacLean Association). The station was run on an adhoc basis when there were suffiicient operators as there were many other activities taking place during the week.

Operation was on 80m through to 10m and an EchoLink node was setup to connect via GB3HI (Node number 311933). Unfortunately due to a fault in the audio circuitry of the laptop used, the Echolink node was not fully operational.
